The 4 Bs to Change

We know it’s coming.

We plan for it.

We write strategies, restructure teams, roll out new systems.

But despite all the effort, transformation still often feels like something happening to people, not with them.

And that’s the problem.

Change doesn’t land because a new process was introduced. It lands when people feel equipped, supported, and empowered to move through it.

That’s where the 4Bs come in.

This is the framework I use in my work as a coach and facilitator to help individuals, leaders, and teams navigate change in a way that’s sustainable, empowering, and real.

We often start at belief

The root of all transformation. We all carry stories, about who we are, what we’re capable of, and how safe it is to grow. When change arrives, those stories either help or hinder us. That’s why belief is where I begin.

Whether someone is stepping into a new leadership role, managing uncertainty, or returning from a career break, I help them surface the internal narratives that might be holding them back and rewrite the ones that need to shift. Because until you believe differently, nothing really changes.

Then we take a look at behaviour

The visible layer of change. Once belief shifts, behaviour follows. But change won’t land without intentional action. I work with people to explore how they show up day to day, in their teams, in moments of pressure and build new patterns that support the kind of leader, teammate, or human they want to be.

This isn’t just about performance.

It’s about how we listen.

How we speak.

How we respond to feedback.

In group coaching, these behaviours are brought to life in real time creating space for deeper understanding and stronger connection.

It really is about becoming

Where transformation lands.

Becoming is the shift from doing change to being changed. It’s not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like someone standing a little taller, asking a different question, or no longer shrinking in a meeting.

This is identity-level work. It’s the moment someone starts to feel more confident, more aligned, more ready. In my coaching spaces, I see people realise: this is who I’m meant to be next. And that kind of clarity? It ripples outward.

& beyond

The forward movement that lasts.

The final B is Beyond... TBH, it is the part most models forget. (Luckily with a career in Improvements, I know how important sustainability it)Change isn’t a single event. It’s a rhythm. A practice. A constant becoming.

I help individuals and organisations embed adaptability, curiosity, and resilience into their day-to-day. That way, they’re not just reacting to change, they’re leading it. Not just surviving it, but growing through it.

Why this matters and where I come in

Too many change programmes focus on logistics. I focus on people.

I offer group coaching and facilitation that creates space for reflection, clarity, and connection. It’s in these spaces that the real work happens, the conversations that shift mindsets, strengthen teams, and unlocks growth.

Whether you're navigating organisational transformation, culture change, or leadership development, my approach helps your people move forward with confidence and clarity—together.

🔗 Let’s take your team beyond change. If you’re ready to make transformation more people focused, meaningful, and sustainable, I’d love to connect. Drop me a message or visit lightsparkgroup.co.uk to explore how we can work together.

When I talk about Change & Transformation

I don't mean it from a business sense.

e.g. Implementing new tools, ways of working or even re-orgs.

(Although that is part of what I do).

As a coach,

A group coach and facilitator to be exact.

I am talking about the real, grounded support designed to help people understand what’s changing within, not just what's going on around them.

In short, I have spent years (and years) working on myself for my own personal change & transformation coupled with the work I have done across my career in tech, transformation and building my brand....

Which has enabled me to develop a philosophy, to which I am calling, (and as a Beyonce fan, this won't be a surprise*) The 4Bs:

1. Belief: identifying and reshaping the stories that hold people back

2. Behaviour: creating space to shift habits and ways of working

3. Becoming: guiding individuals as they evolve into who they’re meant to be

4. & Beyond: embedding adaptability, sustainability, and forward movement so change doesn’t just stick... it scales

(**Suddenly wonders if I am now the Beyonce of Change & Transformation**)

If you want to help your people shift mindset, behaviour...

This is where we start.📍Lucy Grimwade lucy@lightsparkgroup.com

I deliver group coaching, talks and workshops that help people not just understand change, but understand themselves, their behaviours and how they can become a high impacting part of the culture.

People sometimes ask why I became a coach.

Why facilitation? Why change?

And the honest answer is:

Because I know what it’s like to fall apart and rebuild.

To rise from the ashes.

I know what it’s like to question who you are in the middle of a reorg.

To feel invisible in a meeting room.

To outgrow a job but have no clue what’s next.

To feel like your whole identity is up for grabs.

So I don’t coach from a textbook.

I coach from lived experience. From walking through it. From doing the internal work that most transformation programmes skip entirely.

I’m not here to “fix” people. Because, babes, you ain't broke.

I’m here to walk beside them, you, while we reframe, rebuild, and rediscover who you actually are underneath all the layers you’ve been told to wear.

That’s what my work is about, coaching and facilitating through the real stuff:

💭 Challenging beliefs that keep people stuck

🔄 Supporting behavioural shifts that change how teams actually function

✨ Holding space for people to become who they’re meant to be next

🚀 And making sure that change doesn’t just land... it lasts

If you're leading a team through transition, going through a shift yourself, or want to create spaces where people can grow (not just perform), I’d love to work with you.

You don’t need another framework.

You need a space where people can actually show up and shift... for reals.

That’s what I do.

Let’s talk.
