IR35 Sub: ITSM & Leadership Consultant

Hi, I'm Lucy 👋

In 2023, I made the bold step and moved full-time into the freelance space – allowing me capacity to work on co-authoring my first book plus time for involvement in various thought leadership projects.

As well as the Founder of Light Spark Group - The Global ITSM & Leadership Consultancy for IT Service & Support.  I am also one of the three Co-Founders of Women of ITSM which is officially launching this Summer 2024.

Career Trajectory

My career and business is driven by my belief in PEOPLE, passion for PROCESS & experience in TECHNOLOGY, which I use as part of innovation across the work I do.

I have worked in global businesses across multiple industries including Banking, Retail and Telco. I have led cross-functional & international teams as well as worked on multi-million dollar projects as well as NDA transformation programmes.

Businesses I've worked in are:

TJX Global, Harrods, Selfridges and John Lewis.

Oxford University

Managed Service Providers (NDA'd) and Virgin Media O2

esure, Equiniti and Investec

In 2017, I faced a turning point in my world when I was confronted with a mental health challenge that forced me to re-evaluate my career and priorities. Inspired by my own experience and the desire to help others overcome similar challenges, a year later, I qualified as an ICF Coach - which also gave me the confidence and ambition to be where I am today - running my own thing.

Projects & Publications

Alongside my BAU, I have been and continue involved in various projects and publications:

Host - Talk Female Friday

Co-Host - Careers & Coffee

Co-Author - What is Allyship?

Career Column - LinkedIn Articles

Contribution to 'An Education in Service Management' by David Barrow.

IIL Monthly Blog Author

On a personal note

Although you'll find me just west of London with my husband and our cockapoo where we go for long walks, cook and trying our hand at interior design - as a family we dream of moving abroad one day. We totally see ourselves living in New York, sipping coffee/pup-cups (IYKYK) and walking around central park.

I hope this gives you a small snap-shot to who I am.
